The Actor's Nightmare
By Christopher Durang
Directed by John Stergiou
This hilarious spoof details the plight of a man pushed on stage to replace an ailing actor. George appears as Hamlet in the middle of a scene from “Private Lives” and fumbles through one missed cue after another in various plays. Yet in the closing moments, as he rises to the occasion and finally says the right lines, a surprising conclusion occurs.

1-900-DESPERATE
By Christopher Durang
Directed by Savannah Thomas
When Gretchen is irritated by her mother’s constant criticism of her empty love life and decides to call a romance talk line, she finds only other women and one young man named Scuzzy when she calls 1-900-DESPERATE. Durang received Obie Awards for “Sister Mary Ignatius,” “The Marriage of Bette and Boo” and “Betty's Summer Vacation.” He was nominated for a Tony Award for “A History of the American Film” and won a 2013 Tony for Best Play for “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.”

Time Flies
By David Ives
Directed by Savannah Thomas
From the follow-up collection to Ives’ popular and award-winning collection “All in the Timing,” two lonely but sweet young mayflies meet at a pond and really hit it off. Unfortunately, Horace and May watch a nature program on this first night out and discover they have a lifespan of only one day—and their lives are half over. Ives is an award-winning playwright whose work has appeared on and off Broadway. His latest play, “Venus is Fur,” played on Broadway in 2011 and recently opened at Chicago’s Goodman Theatre. The New York Times has called Ives “an original…magical and funny…a master of language.”

Based on Mel Brooks’ comic masterpiece, this production is a wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Frankenstein legend. The story follows young Dr. Frankenstein as he attempts to complete his grandfather’s masterwork and bring a corpse to life. Aided by his oddly-shaped, endearing helper Igor and his curvaceous lab assistant Inga, Young Frankenstein succeeds in creating a monster, despite the distraction of his madcap fiancé Elizabeth. With such memorable tunes as “The Transylvania Mania,” “He Vas My Boyfriend” and “Puttin’ On The Ritz,” Young Frankenstein is scientifically-proven, monstrously good entertainment that has been enjoyed by Broadway audiences and at regional theatres throughout the country.

“A blissfully funny monster mash!” -Newsday
